Rediscover Center Mid City

Launched in 2024, Rediscover Center Mid City is a cornerstone of sustainable maker education for youth in Central LA. This dynamic location empowers young people to design, plan, tinker, and create through a variety of offerings, including classes, camps, family crafting, field trips, and private events.

Rediscover’s Mission
Rediscover’s mission is to provide makers with the tools, resources, and confidence to engage in creative reuse and self-expression. Rediscover is an inclusive maker community for all ages. As part of our maker community, we each share the responsibility of creating a positive and welcoming environment for everyone.
Behavior Expectations:

Children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop-offs unless noted for certain programs (e.g., camp, classes). This is to ensure the safety of all crafters. Certain tools require specific skill levels, and younger crafters may need assistance.

Respect Each Other - Be Kind and Share Everything:
In this space, we treat others the way they would like to be treated. When in doubt, ask! We encourage the use of mindful language to bring people together. -
Respect the Space - Create a Safe and Positive Workspace:
We expect everyone to use tools safely and for their intended purpose. For example, use a canary cutter to cut cardboard, not wood. If unsure, ask a staff member! Staff have the right to remove tools for inappropriate use. -
Talk to Our Staff If There’s Something You Need:
If you're unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to ask our staff for help or clarification. We’re here to support you! -
Unacceptable Behavior:
Anyone engaging in unacceptable behavior after an initial warning will be asked to leave. We will not tolerate yelling, intimidation, threats, swearing, or any other inappropriate behavior toward our staff or visitors. -
