ReDiscover is proud to partner with researchers at UCLA to help kids get more involved in science! The project, The Development of Anxiety in Youth Study (DAYS), is a landmark study funded by the National Institutes of Health, and it’s focused on understanding how brain development is linked to anxiety during adolescence. It’s asking (and answering!) some important questions: Why do some kids get anxious as they move into adolescence while others do not? Why are some kids big risk takers while others are not? How do families and friends protect against anxiety? The team is looking for kids ages 9-13 to participate. It’s a great opportunity for kids to learn more about what science looks like in action. Qualified participants can earn up to $100 and get a free picture of their brain! More details about the project can be found on its website: www.ucladays.com
