Upcycled Art Workshop/Party

$300 for first 10 participants, $10 for each additional participant
60-90 minutes

reDiscover’s Upcycled Art Workshop package provides creative reuse art activities for up to a maximum of 25 participating children. Upcycled Art Workshops are great for ages 4+, with specialized activities for young children, older children, teens, or adults.

Each participant, with parental help as necessary, will create a sculpture or craft out of reDiscover’s amazing upcycled materials, participate in a short program with our staff about sustainability, recycling, and creativity, and contribute to a group mural for you to take home. We will work with you to customize the program to provide a theme to guide the making such as vehicles, insects, fairy houses, game design, inventions, etc.

Tinkering Workshop/Party

$400 for first 8 participants, $25 for each additional participant
120 minutes

Tinkering Workshops guide participants through a design challenge, themed build, or open studio sculpture play using tools, lumber, and upcycled materials. This workshop provides tool training and workshop access up to a maximum of 15 participating children.

The workshop starts with a short tools training on safely using clamps, drills and hand saws, then introduces a theme or design challenge for the kids to build individually or in small groups. The program ends with a presentation of the various creations for you to take home, send home with the participants individually, or leave at reDiscover to break down and reuse. For all Tinkering programs, reDiscover Center provides a 1:5 facilitator to participant ratio to ensure safety, which can include a mix of reDiscover staff and volunteers.
